Rubber Safety Weights for Pop-Up Canopy Tents

Rubber safety weights help anchor pop-up canopy tents by reducing lifting, sliding, and movement at the canopy legs. They are required for every VANCAN pop-up canopy installation, including setups on grass, turf, concrete, asphalt, patios, and pavers.

Ordering: Rubber safety weights are rented individually. A cart quantity of 1 equals one weight. Add the total number required for your canopy size.

How Many Rubber Safety Weights Do You Need?

• 10×10 pop-up canopy tent: 4 weights—one for each canopy leg
• 10×20 pop-up canopy tent: 6 weights—one for each canopy leg

If you are renting more than one canopy, multiply the required quantity by the number of tents. For example, two 10×10 canopies require a total of 8 weights.

A canopy must not be used without the correct number of weights. If the required weights are not included in the order, we may be unable to install the canopy.

Why Rubber Safety Weights Are Required

• Anchoring: weights help keep each canopy leg positioned securely during normal use
• Hard surfaces: required on concrete, asphalt, patios, pavers, decks, and other surfaces where staking is not used
• Grass and turf: still required for VANCAN pop-up canopy installations
• Busy event areas: help reduce movement when guests or equipment accidentally contact the frame
• Exposed locations: provide essential anchoring in yards, fields, parking lots, waterfront locations, and other open areas

How to Install Rubber Safety Weights

Place one weight securely at each canopy leg before the canopy is used. The weights must remain correctly positioned for the entire time the canopy is installed.

If you choose customer setup, you are responsible for installing all required weights before using the canopy. Some venues, locations, and events may require professional installation for safety or compliance.

Weather and Wind Limitations

Rubber safety weights improve anchoring, but they do not make a pop-up canopy suitable for storms, high winds, or other unsafe weather.

If wind or weather conditions become unsafe, the canopy must be taken down. Our team may decline or stop installation when the weather, surface, or location makes safe use impractical.

Adding solid canopy walls can increase the amount of wind caught by the canopy. Walls do not make a pop-up canopy suitable for windy conditions.

Rubber Material and Care

• Material: durable rubber designed for repeated outdoor event use
• Rubber scent: as with many rubber products, a mild rubber smell may occasionally be noticeable, particularly in warm or enclosed spaces. Use the weights in a ventilated area when practical.
• Surface contact: position the weights carefully rather than dragging them across delicate flooring or finished surfaces
• Delivery-only: customer pickup is not available
